How can I activate Geofencing?

The App Check in feature allows your team the flexibility to self report their attendance on a daily basis.

You can ensure that your team members are using this perk, while also ensuring that everyone is checking in and out from their assigned location by activating the Geofencing feature.

How to set up the geofencing feature

Go to “Settings”

In the settings, select “Companies”

Select the company or legal entity that the location you would like to turn the geofencing feature on for from the cards in the company page

Each Location is associated with a specific company, and each employee is assigned to a default location in their contract.

Select the “Locations” tab

Select the location you wish to activate Geofencing for

Open the tab labelled “Geofencing”

Click the toggle to enable Geofecning

This turns on the GPS tracking for your team’s attendance records, once it is enabled, you will also begin to see flags on your timesheets if an employee check in or out from a place that is not within the assigned location radius. When checking in and out users will also see a flag before they are able to successfully check in or out informing them if they are outside of the range of the location radius.

If you want to block your team from checking in or out if they are outside of the location radius completely, toggle on the “Activate Geofence Limitation” function, this will ensure that your team can only check in or our if they are inside of the set radius for their assigned locations.

Set the location on the map, you can do this by searching for the location in the search on top of the map, or if you have the latitude and longitude details for the location, you can enter them in the relevant fields below the map.

Once you have set the location, you can set the radius. This is the area around the location that your team should be within to avoid any violations related to their location on their timesheets. You can set a radius of anywhere from 0-500 meters around the location you have set.

Click “Save” to activate the Geofencing option for this location
